The London Photo Festival 2015 launched last night and I was honoured to be the professional photographer for the Private View. The photo exhibition is now open for visitors (14-16th May) and can be found in The Crypt (St George the Martyr Church) on Borough High Street.
The theme of the exhibition and photo competition was ‘architecture’ and whilst I have to admit, architectural photography doesn’t excite me as much as event photography, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and chat with other photographers who were clearly passionate and delighted to have the opportunity to showcase their work.
There was a definite buzz of anticipation and excitement amongst the exhibitors, who were all waiting for the winning photos to be announced, judged by Architectural Photographer, Will Scott.
The winners of the London Photo Festival 2015 were:-
Uwe Kosa won Best in Show with his image ‘Leisure Time’
Matt Emmett was 1st Runner Up with his image ‘Victorian Cistern’
Philip Carey was 2nd Runner Up with his image ‘If Buildings Talked’
Honourable mentions were given to Estelle Vincent (Beirut series), Josh Chow (clockwork puzzle) and Markus Eichenberger (Water)
Starting with the stars of the show, here are a selection of images taken of the London Photo Festival 2015 Private View.
